Overview
A private event where local farmers are invited to join us for a two-day Sq’éwqel (Seabird Island) engagement experience.
This unique two-day experience is specific to Seabird Island. It is grounded in culture and place, and co-developed by three subject experts, bringing together different perspectives in a way that reflects the community’s history, knowledge, and connection to the land.
It offers a more holistic and immersive approach—helping participants better understand the context we all work in and the relationships that shape it. As part of Seabird Island’s broader Cultural Capacity Development work, these sessions are an introduction and a foundation for ongoing learning and collaboration—particularly as we face shared challenges around flooding, land use, and the future of agriculture in the region.
